Spun off in 1998 as Trevira GmbH & Co KG. In January 2010, it was re-established as Trevira GmbH. The company has a registered office located in Bobingen in Bavaria, Germany.The company manufactures branded polyester fibres and filament yarn specialties for the home textiles, automotive and apparel industries, and for the hygiene sector and technical applications. It offers a comprehensive range of special fibre types for ring yarn, woollen yarn, worsted and cotton spinning, as well as for non-wovens. The company also offers a comprehensive range of filament yarns, from 22 to 4000 dtex. Its products are noted for their permanent functional properties. The company's numerous specialities form one of the most comprehensive product ranges for fibre and filament yarns.The company's fibres and yarns are low-pill, microfine, elastic, breathable, flame retardant or antimicrobial, depending on the requirements of the end product. In many instances, several additional functions are combined in the one fibre/yarn. It offers special fibres for all textile applications, for use 100 percent or in blends with wool, cotton and other materials, as well as for non-wovens and technical applications. These are accompanied by a brand that is internationally known and by quality that is tested, both underpinned by the security of its trademark contracts. Its raw material polyester is not only friendly to the environment in its manufacture, but in all downstream stages of processing. All Trevira fibres and filaments bear the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Certificate.The company markets its products under the following brands: Trevira Functional Textiles, Trevira Classixx, Trevira Perform, Trevira Xpand, Trevira Polair, Trevira Finesse, Trevira Micro, Trevira Fill, Trevira Home, Trevira CS, Trevira CS Bioactive, and Trevira Bioactive. It is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001.
