The company was founded in 1998 through a merger of three major Nordic defence companies; Celsius AB, Patria Industries Oyj and Raufoss ASA.The company has fully owned subsidiaries in Finland, Germany, Norway, Sweden and the United States. Its operational activity is divided into four business units: small caliber division, medium & large caliber division, missile products division and demil division.The small caliber division (SCD) operates in areas of: Military Home Markets (customer integrated ammunition and logistics supplier); Military Specialities (niche focused speciality ammunition supplier); Civil Centerfire (worldwide target shooting ammunition supplier); and Rimfire (worldwide target shooting ammunition supplier). Its small caliber division is one of the world's leading suppliers of niche technology and products. Its extensive product range includes combat and premium projectiles, cartridge technology and commercial brands ranging from 5.56mm to 9mm ammunition. It has production facilities and offices in Finland, Sweden and Germany.The medium and large caliber division (MLCD) covers a broad range of types of combat- and training ammunition for Army, Navy and Air Force applications. The division also offers a wide range of services like ballistic, environmental and hazard testing, mechanical manufacturing and explosive filling for both external as well as internal customers. It has production facilities in Sweden, Norway and Finland.The missile products division (MPD) has developed and produced advanced Rocket Motors, primarily for the NATO market since the early 1960's. Its main niches within tactical propulsion technologies are Rocket Motors for short-range air-to-air missiles and Boosters for medium to large size naval missiles, both with and without Thrust Vector Control (TVC) system.The company's demil division is a leading business unit world wide. The division holds more than 35 years of experience in demilitarisation with production in Germany, Sweden and Norway. The demil division is specialised in handling excess, outdated and obsolete conventional ammunition. Its services also include turnkey demilitarisation plant/process/equipment projects (including; design, construction, planning, delivery, supervision, start-up and on-site project management as well as operator training and spare part support).
