It is one of the leading independent steel processing, distribution and service companies in Germany. The company was incorporated in 2003. Its product range is categorized into six segments: long products including bright steel and machining steel, materials handling equipment, rails and accessories, structural steel/ wide-flanged beam, quality round steel, special sections, and wide flat steel; flat products including sheets and plates, and slabs; tubes and pipes including square and rectangular tubes, drilled and elliptical tubes, and special pipes; and steel tubes; stainless steel including hollow steel, heat resistant and hot-rolled sheets and plates; SSC - sheet metals and plates cut to length, strip steel, broadband, camp formats, pan sheet metal, gap volume and corrugated sheet; and non-ferrous metals including aluminum products, electrolyte copper and copper tubes. The company has representative offices in Austria, Poland and sales representative office in Hungary. It has more than 30 subsidiaries and offices throughout Germany and Europe. Some of the company's wholly-owned Germany-based subsidiaries are: Interfer H & B Stahl GmbH, Interfer Rohrunion GmbH and Interfer Stahl GmbH, which are responsible for the distribution and wholesale trade of iron, steel, metal and plastics.
