This company is primarily engaged in the manufacture of longitudinal and spiral seam-welded large-diameter pipes in nearly every size desired. It supplies standard products as well as special developments for all fields of application. Founded in 1991, the history of the company and its shareholders extends back to the 17th century. The company's corporate headquarters is located in Muelheim in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany.The company's range of products comprises pipes with the following dimensions: longitudinal seam-welded pipes are available in outside diameters between 508 and 1524 millimeters and wall thicknesses from 7 to 40 millimeters; and while the spiral seam-welded version offers outside diameters of 406 to 1422 millimeters and wall thicknesses between 5.5 and 20 millimeters. It delivers pipes in lengths of up to 18.3 meters.The company's expertise in large-diameter pipe manufacturing is in the production of welded steel pipes for extreme applications. These pipes withstand the extreme heat of the desert, the lowest temperatures in arctic environments or the extreme pressure of the deep sea.As an economic solution for transporting gas and oil, the company provides a broad range of customised products: pipes that are manufactured according to national or international standards (API, EN, ISO) and specifications (NACE, DNV) or according to customer specifications. Both separately and in cooperation with partners and suppliers, it also delivers pipes for use as conductor pipes, buckle arrestors and pipe bends, as well as for civil engineering purposes and piling.The company has a global presence for its customers, with manufacturing plants in Germany, France and the USA (Berg Steel Pipe Corp. and Berg Spiral Pipe Corp.).
