The company is organized into three business groups: power systems, industrial systems, and consumer products. The company's Industrial Systems segment consists of manufacturing electric motors including fractional horsepower motors, LT motors, alternators, DC Machines and rail transportation motors. Its Consumer Products segment consists of fans, luminaires, light sources and agricultural and domestic pumps.The company, one of the largest players in India in the electrical equipment and engineering industry, is the flagship company of the BM Thapar Group.
