The company ranked as second United States wireless provider with approximately 60 million customers. In 2006, the company formed Verizon business when Verizon bought MCI, creating a global advanced communications and information technology (IT) powerhouse to serve large business and government clients. Verizon business consists of three business lines, which focus on the company's enterprise business customer's needs.The company's enterprise business markets voice, data and internet communications services to medium and large business customers, multinational corporations, and state and federal governments. It also provides value added services, as wells as managed network services that enable customers to outsource all or a portion of their communications and information processing operations.
