Company description

The company is engaged in the provision centralized administrative support to Northeast Utilities' subsidiaries. It was created in the year 1966 and has its registered business office located in Springfield, Connecticut. Northeast Utilities (NU), its parent company, is one of the Fortune 500 energy firms that operate New England's largest energy delivery system. One of NU's subsidiaries is Connecticut Light and Power (CL&P). CL&P is recognized as Connecticut's largest electric utility serving the residential, municipal, commercial and industrial residents in 149 cities and towns in the area. Another affiliate company is Public Service of New Hampshire (PSNH), the Granite State's largest electric utility and comprises three fossil fuel-fired generating plants and nine hydroelectric facilities. The Yankee Gas Services Company distributes natural gas in the state of Connecticut. The fourth subsidiary is Western Massachusetts Electric Company or WMECO. It is the main distributor of electricity in western Massachusetts for more than 200,000 customers.
