The Front End division engages in prospecting, mining, concentrating, and converting uranium ore, as well as in manufacturing nuclear power plant fuel. The Reactors and Services division designs and builds various pressurized and boiling water reactors, and offers various products and services for the operation and maintenance of nuclear power plants. Its services include maintenance, inspection, and replacement services for nuclear installations. The Back-End division engages in the reprocessing and recycling operations of spent fuel into recyclable materials and final waste, and transformation of uranium and plutonium resulting from reprocessing into MOX fuel. This division also provides logistic services, such as design of casks, transport, and storage of nuclear materials; engineering services, including studying, construction, and optimization of installations for nuclear operators; and nuclear cleanup activities, such as processing and packaging of nuclear waste, decontamination of installations, radiation protection, and dismantling of decommissioned installations. The Transmission and Distribution division supplies products, systems, and services for electricity transmission and distribution used to regulate, switch, transform, and dispatch electric current in electric power networks connecting the power plant to the final user. This division serves electric utilities, as well as the oil, mining and metals, wind energy, paper and glass, transportation, and power engineering industries. The company has a joint venture with Constellation Energy to market the new generation reactors in the United States.
