The company was incorporated in 1986. The registered head office of the company is primarily based in the city of Gent in Belgium. It focuses on three business segments: soy products, frozen dough products and margarines and fats. The activities of the Group are managed and developed by two divisions: the Lipids and Dough division (chiefly 'business to business' with Margarines & Fats and Frozen Dough products with the brand name Sojola) and the Soy Foods division (principally 'business to consumer' with products such as Alpro and Provamel as just a few of its brands). It is one of Europe's leading food groups, and has active operations across 12 European countries including Belgium, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Austria, Spain, the Czech Republic, and the United Kingdom. The Group produces and markets a wide variety of products made from soy, margarines and fats and frozen dough products. It aims to remain active in the production and/or sale of food products in Europe, and to create value within a perspective of continuity and to develop new activities by capitalising on its existing expertise and strengths.
