Coronavirus, Google & co spostano la produzione fuori dalla Cina

Google e Microsoft accelerano i loro sforzi per riuscire a portare la produzione dei loro nuovi telefoni e computer portatili fuori dalla Cina, spostandoli nel sudest asiatico, a causa del peggioramento del contagio da coronavirus. A beneficiarne, sostiene una inchiesta della Nikkei Asian Review, saranno le fabbriche vietnamite e tailandesi. Google dovrebbe far cominciare la produzione del suo nuovo telefono low cost, che si dovrebbe chiamare Pixel 4A, a partire da aprile. Verranno utilizzate delle fabbriche nel nord del Vietnam. Inoltre, la prossima generazione di flagship della linea di telefoni della casa di Mountain View, che si dovrebbe chiamare Pixel 5, sarà prodotta nella seconda metà dell’anno direttamente in uno dei paesi principali paesi produttori nel sudest asiatico: Vietnam o Tailandia.
