This company, based in Pordenone, Italy, is engaged in the production and trade of components for electromechanical machinery.Incorporated in April 1960, the company is a leading manufacturer of hermetic compressors for household appliances. Its production activities are divided among two different plants in north-eastern Italy: Mel, near Belluno, manufactures components and compressors whereas Rovigo is dedicated to motors for compressors. Furthermore, a research and design center is located in Pordenone.The building of the Mel facility started in 1966 and in 1984, the company started productions in Austria and an industrial agreement was signed with the People Republic of China. In 1988, Elettromeccanica has become the center of an international organization, and as a result of restructuring and development, the manufacturing capacity grew to 6.500.000 units per year. In October 2003, the company joined ACC Group (Appliances Components Companies), a world leading group which manufactures components for household and commercial appliances, with annual revenues of about 750 million Euros. The ACC group employs 6,200 workers in nine production plants strategically located in Europe and China.The company's Rovigo plant is dedicated to the production of electrical motors for compressors. Established in 1996, it started the manufacturing activity the following year as the only strategic supplier for Mel facility.The company's main target is to constantly guarantee the outstanding quality of its products, in order to offer customers the best components on the market. Furthermore, the company's products has been certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
